2nd interview with MJ Call KXSF @ 102.5 wotp

Had another interview with Radio host MJ Call KXSF 102.5

I was invited back to WOTP on KXSF by MJ Call to discuss being an artist and a teacher during covid times, and showed a few sneak peeks. I also helped curate the music for the first hour focusing on artists from the Bay Area. I also collaborated with my wife Ann Moss on an arrangement of "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

Justin Ouellet wins the 2018-2019
San Francisco Classical Voice Best of the Bay
'Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year'

Unbeknownst to me, I was entered into the 2018-2019 Best of the Bay, which is in its 6th year and won. Even SF Classical Voice was caught by surprise!! They seemed to miss the fact that I spend most of my days playing jazz on the violin, but I guess being known as an improvising violist isn't too bad right?? I am in good company this year alongside winners like Areyh Nussaum Cohen, Juanita Harris, Michael Tilson Thomas, Philharmonia Baroque, the San Francisco Symphony & Voices of Music to name a few. Thanks again to all that voted. Maybe next time they'll note that I do in fact play the violin (full disclosure: to give some credit where its due, I did in fact improvise over some monk last year on the violin)

Recipient - Academy of Gospel Music Awards 2018-2019

This years Academy of Gospel Music Awards were hosted at Grace Cathedral. It was truly an honor and wonderful experience to be honored as an educator for my continued work at Oakland School for the Arts and to be given the opportunity to conduct Handel's Messiah at Grace Cathedral.

d'PaJo performance at Davies Symphony Hall debut on the 2018 SF Symphony Holiday Concerts

It was such a blast performing on Davis Symphony Hall this past season with a full house to the front, and the San Francisco Symphony sitting behind you as they listened  to our rendition of some holiday tunes. Thanks for inviting d'PaJo as guest artists for the San Francisco Symphony holiday concerts.
